ReproSoc
Michelle is an MPhil student and conducts her research under the supervision of Prof Jacqueline Scott. Prior to joining ReproSoc at Cambridge, Michelle obtained her BSc in Social Science from Birkbeck, University of London where she obtained a first class honours degree.
Michelle is broadly interested in how individuals situate themselves within the structure and agency debate, particularly as it applies to reframing normative ideologies. Her current research project explores how senior professional mothers in London’s high-finance industry manage the tension between the materiality of being a mother and the ‘conflicting’ identities of motherhood and career.
