Biography

My research interests are medical sociology and gender studies. For my PhD, I plan to study the reproductive choices and processes of lgbtq+ people with a focus on how gay men become fathers via transnational ARTs in Taiwan. I previous graduated from National Tsing-Hua University with a BA in Interdisciplinary Programme of Humanities and Social Science in 2017 and from London School of Economics with a MSc in Sociology in 2018. From 2018 to 2020, I was a research assistant at Chang Gung University and worked on the project “Living-Related Organ Donation Decision-Making: Gender, Power and Family Politics”.

I continue my studying here at Cambridge, Newnham College in 2020, under the supervision of Professor Sarah Franklin and Dr Marcin Smietana, funded by the Cambridge Trust and the Ministry of Education of Taiwan.
