Dr R Sánchez-Rivera has a Ph.D. in the Centre for Latin American Studies at the University of Cambridge. They hold a B.A. in Political Science and History from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus and an M.A. in Regional Studies—Latin America and the Caribbean from Columbia University in the City of New York. They work on eugenics, its transnational connections in the Americas and its contemporary legacies regarding reproductive (in)justices, scientific and cultural understandings of betterment, risk politics, among others.
